Bill Bailey

Background

For the past 24 years Bill Bailey has represented businesses and individual clients in state and federal court in all types of civil litigation, business transactions, arbitrations, and civil appeals. His extensive legal experience includes breach of contract disputes, construction disputes, mechanic’s liens, collecting business debts, personal injury claims, products liability claims, business and real estate transactions, business entity formation, and estate planning and probate. He has argued and appeared before the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, the Texas Supreme Court, and several Texas Courts of Appeal.

After graduating law school, Mr. Bailey was employed by several prominent law firms. In 2006, Mr. Bailey founded his own law firm — Law Offices of Bill Bailey, PLLC. In 2014, Mr. Bailey merged his law firm with Kish | Manktelow, PC to form Kish Manktelow & Bailey, PC.

Mr. Bailey has been actively involved in complex federal multidistrict litigation in Illinois, Louisiana, New York, Texas, and West Virginia. Mr. Bailey has also handled several high-profile cases that gained national recognition. In 2005, Mr. Bailey appeared on the national news program ABC World News Tonight and in the New Yorker Magazine in connection with his successful representation of a high school student in a school board appeal.

While pursuing his undergraduate degree, Mr. Bailey was a letter winner and team captain of the Baylor University Intercollegiate Men's Tennis Team. He was a member of the GTE Academic All-America Team, served as the Chairman of Baylor University Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, and as the student body representative of the Baylor University Faculty Athletics Council.

In his spare time, Mr. Bailey continues to enjoy playing tennis. He is a certified tennis instructor with a professional rating by the Professional Tennis Registry. He also enjoys spending time with his wife and three daughters.
